Alexandra Ross has been exhibiting since 2004. Her oil on canvas paintings were first shown on a group show in 2004, followed by another group painting show in 2005. She received the Brait-Everard Read Art Award in 2007, which resulted in her first solo show, Viewpoint - a photographic installation. She did a four-month artist’s residency at the Nirox Foundation between 2007 and 2008. In 2008 she completed her Masters in Fine Art at The University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg). Currently, she is working towards a second solo show of painting and photography at the Everard Read gallery, 2009, and will be taking up a residency at kunst:raum Sylt Quelle (Germany) later in the same year.
