Graduated with a BSc (Hons) Microbiology at the University of the Witwatersrand (1981)
Assistant to photographer Jac de Villiers in Cape Town (1986-90)
Continuation of learning curve as a freelance photojournalist (1990-92)
Employed by Vryeweekblad newspaper as chief photographer (1992-94)
Specialized in portraiture and freelanced for various newspapers and magazines (Elle, Marie Claire, Style, Cosmopolitan, True Love, Tribute, De Kat,
Brainstorm,The Star, Business Day, Financial Mail) Annual Reports and Corporate Brochures (1994-2005)
Employed as chief photographer for Maverick and Empire magazines (2005-2008)
