my career as a visual artist started in the 'eighties'. i began by taking part time art classes at the johannesburg art fundation (jaf) while working as a production manager in the film industry. soon, i was studying full time at jaf under bill ainslie and working part-time in the industry.

during my career i have worked at various studios: the orchards studios in jhb, the santa monica art studios in california and, finally, the bag factory studios (aka fordsburg studios) in newtown, jhb, where i have continued as a full time painterfor the last six years.

i have exhibited locally and abroad, have my work in numerous prestigious collections and have participated in international art workshops in south africa, botswana and kenya.
